Default Helping each other climb the google ranks

Simple, we promise to put links on our own websites to each others site and then post a link here to verify it.

That way Google thinks that our sites are more important and it helps improve our rankings.

Obviously one or two of us cant do that as we are in the same line of work (im thinking of the web people and Stu and I) unless we tried to put each other into a different category.

Thoughts?

The Google algorithm will spot it, and wont, as a result, actually improve the SEO of either site.

Haha! That is true! To a certain extent, it will actually improve SEO, but not by much (With Google)... the real SEO quality is in content

I thought links had to be relevant to your site? Am I missing something?

Brian,

You are correct. Relevancy is key in any link building strategy. Doing this may help slightly but i certainly wouldn't be up for a random links page pointing out to all and sundry. I just dont see it being worth all the effort. Sorry

I personally agree with Stuart that it is in the content...

keywords and key phrase rich content is vital in establishing online visibility and for getting your site noticed in the search engines.
