Managing Passwords

I hope i'm not the only one on here that has problems remembering passwords etc. How does everyone manage all the passwords they have?

Does anyone use software etc to help them with this and is there any merit in using one of these fingerprint units. My biggest fear os that you lose the password manager which leaves you stuck. I really need to do something as it's becoming very difficult to remember secure passwords.

If I remember correctly from another thread, your a blackberry owner?

I don't know which one you have but most Blackberrys have a 'password keeper' on them which is quite handy. The beauty is that even if your computer goes down you still have all your passwords. I did have a look at computer based password managers but for some reason I just couldn't trust them (I can't see if your computer was hacked why they couldn't take all your passwords!).

All you have to do with the Blackberry is make sure you remember the password for the password keeper - unlike me!

That's something I've done with my BB. It's maybe not the best method but, right now it's working.

The best thing I have found for online passwords is Roboform, RoboForm: Password Manager, Form Filler, Password Management

I am biased as I use RoboForm all the time as I have lots of sites, blogs, logins etc. It saves me so much time as I can just click on the tool bar and it will take me straight to the site and log me in, no hassles.

It also has good security to protect all your important logins and data.
The good thing is it plugs straight into your browser so you can have it to hand at all times.

I have also bought the portable version that goes on a USB memory stick so you can carry and use your passwords on any pc/laptop.

Regarding the Blackberry password manager how secure is it? How easy is it to hack? Does anyone have any experience of it? Of course you could still lose the phone and then there is no backup etc.

I've heard RoboForm is very good at managing a lot of passwords
