Default Your elevator pitch

We've probably all heard the above phrase and pictured the scenario where you're in a lift with Alan Sugar and have thirty seconds to make a pitch for your business.

What would you say? What about a forum pitch

In a lift with alan sugar, my idea of hell

I can't stand Alan Sugar the man annoys me

my 30 second elevator pitch.

Well it would probably be a very quiet 30 seconds

Oh dear.... Poor Barry! He DID actually pose quite a serious question....

Personally I wouldn't get involved in an 'elevator pitch'. I might be tempted to excuse myself and ask if he would mind taking my card and exploring my website as I may be able to offer a service that would benefit him....

For my sins I was briefly involved with the MyVideoTalk crowd and this was always being touted as THE way to get new business - pin some poor soul to the wall in an elevator and talk at them until they give in and sign up. I've seen this in action and the reaction from the person on the recieving end and it's one of the (many) reasons I'm no longer involved with MyVideoTalk .
