Default Hi from davidk

Just a short brief to introduce myself. I run a small business within the Golf Tourist industry. We represent an American Golf Tour Company who arrange visits to Scotland of American Golfers. I regularly visit Fife, Ayrshire,Angus and West Lothian with my groups. Anyone owning a restaurant/pub in these areas that needs extra business, let me know.

I also work with the FSB and it's nice to see the FSB mentioned in another area on this Forum for representing small businesses. Anyone needing any info on the FSB I will be glad to supply.

Talk to you soon

Welcome to SBF, davidk.

Although I'm not a golf fan and would frankly rather watch paint dry than hit a small ball with a stick (sorry!), I know many others who love the sport. I have even visited the proposed new Trumptown in Aberdeenshire.

I'm also a fan of the SBF, though have never quite got round to joining.

HI David

I'm down in Girvan, and so, you're probably close by quite often. I've lived here for 18months now (previously still in Ayrshire) and it's really good now to see the town coming to life. 18 months ago there was no-where where you would have eaten out in Girvan, now we have a choice!!.

Nods for Turnberry - Costley & Costley's new pub in Kirkoswald is very good for food.
Also, 1/2 mile past Girvan (on the road to Stranraer) there is a new farm shop whose resturant is absolutely excellent. Great for a pit stop on the way to the Portpatrick & Stranraer golf courses.

David,

Welcome to SBF I am a golf fan myself but have played very little over the past few years. Really miss it I have to say but finding three or four hours to have a round just isn't practical these days.

I hope you find the site useful and please contact me direct should you have any issues or questions

Welcome to the forums, I am sure you will find them as interesting and useful as I do.

I am a big fan of golf, although I don't get the chance to dust the sticks down as often as I would like these days. It's a shame really as I am sure you will be aware we have some fantastic courses in the North of Scotland also!

Look forward to seeing you around the forums...

Regards,

Gordon

Hi David

Welcome to SBF
We have a small guest house in Portpatrick - 6 double/twin rooms and provide what we think is a first class service at a relatively modest price
We can obtain a 20 percent discount for our guests at Potpatrick (Dunskey) Golf Couse (weekdays) and discounts also at Stranraer and Wigtownshire County
Do you ever organise packages down our way that involve overnight stays?
Good Luck with your business venture
Fred

Hi David and welcome.
I'm in West Lothian and we are actively encouraging Americans -we have just signed a twinning agreement with Grapevine in Texas. Our local Business Association is growing and we have a number of B&B and restaurant members, so if you want any contacts around Linlithgow, please get in touch.I'm a member of the FSB, so may meet up with you at some events

Hello David

Good to see you here. I wondered if I could pick your brains about a new golf-related project I'm working on?
