Smile Hello from Jo Graham at Our Scots Genealogy Research

Hello All

This looks like a good place for sharing business information and a bit of socialising I'm a self-employed genealogist specialising in Scottish family tree research. My interest in genealogy started out as a hobby and has grown to the point where I've been running my business, Our Scots, for five years. I love what I do and have enough work coming in to be working full time. I'm now getting into Social Marketing to promote Our Scots, but it's a bit of a minefield!

Looking forward to contributing and asking for advice.

Jo

Hi Jo,

Welcome to the forums, i hope you find them useful in your online social marketing quest.

My father and I have dealt with this type of business in great detail, he has traced our family tree back several generations. Very, very interesting as he was also adopted so he has both, an adopted family tree and a biological family tree.

Look forward to your input on the forums, if you have any queries or questions just fire away. We're all very nice on here

Kind Regards

Neil Gould

Hi Jo,

Nice to see you on SBF!

It's an area that fascinates me as well but i've never managed to find the time to actually start looking into it. I guess that's where you come in

I hope you enjoy the forums and hopefully we'll chat again soon

Hi Jo

Welcome to the forums. My daughter is fascinated by genealogical research. I'm sure it's something she could develop when she leaves school.

By the way, if you have any queries regarding social media marketing, ask away.

Hi Jo

A very warm welcome to the SBF.

I'll pass your details onto my son who is currently doing a family tree for us.

Hello Jason, Neil, Barry, Marc and John and thank you so much for the warm welcome to the SBF.

I'm always delighted to help out wherever I can with Scottish Family History research - it is fascinating. I have to get to grips with fine-tuning areas of my business admin, and the boards have been very helpful so far.

I'm even going to attend some Toastmasters meetings and get my confidence up in public speaking!

Thanks, everyone, for the useful info and I hope I can contribute something useful too.

Jo
