Some useful advice for members, re: changes about to occur in April 09 include:

Statutory annual leave entitlement will increase

Statutory maternity, paternity and adoption pay will increase

Statutory sick pay (flat rate SSP) will increase

Employment Act 08 will come into force with the existing dismissal, disciplinary and grievance procedures repealed. A revised code will replace the statutory procedures.

Heads up, as existing employment contracts/ staff handbooks, will need to be amended!!
