I drove from Laurencekirk (9 miles from the North Sea) to Inverness, over the Lecht, on the Tuesday between Xmas and New Year. It was 5 degrees when I left and at Grantown on Spey it was -15 degrees. A change of 20 degrees within 100 miles of each other. Inverness was a constant -5 all the time we were there. Made for some excellent photographs.
